As a comparison... The original battery in your unit has a life of over 10 years. All our batteries include a battery holder, where applied, for easy future battery replacement. MGF companies like - Korg, Roland, Ensoniq and others do NOT stock or sell batteries, so don't fall for this lame Ebay 'scam story'. Batteries are NOT rare!
Do you include instructions on replacing the battery? Yes we include a guide to help you de-solder and re-solder your new replacement battery and holder.
What's a battery holder and do I need one? The battery holder is designed to be soldered in place of your original solder tab battery. Then your battery can be installed as easy as replacing a battery in a remote control..NO MORE SOLDERING!!!
Do I need this? We say YES! Yamaha made this a great feature on many of their units and Midi road techs demand it, plus it saves on wear and tear on your mainboard.

If you own a S-RAM card from one of the major keyboard manufacturers or by a third party sound company; Route 66 Studios is now carrying these replacements.
Please keep in mind, when the battery in your RAM card starts to run out of power, your keyboard will state, "Low Battery" on the edit screen. Do Not unplug the card from the keyboard; rather follow these instructions: (1) Keep the electric power switch in the on position; (2) Remove the old battery with the card plugged in to the keyboard; (3) Replace the old batter with a new battery.
After you have followed the replacement steps abive, you can the unplug the S-RAM card from the keyboard. !!! If you unplug the card from the keyboard when the edit screen shows "Low Battery", or turn the keyboard off without replacing the battery, you can loose any data that you ahve saved to that card. !!!
